Our #21 concentrate fertilizer is a great way to dilute the proper amount needed for fertilizing plants. Just squeeze 1/2 ounce of concentrate into 1 gallon of water and use.

Imagine no messy mixing and staining of your fingers, no need to find a tablespoon that usually gets lost and the correct rate needed for all your plants from a “squeeze and pour” reusable/refillable.  A few years ago my wife told me that she was done messing everything with the normal crystals found today.  This is the same fertilizer we use inside the greenhouse to grow our plants.

This blend is perfect for maintaining a strong plant while reducing the unwanted “leggy” growth associated with high phosphorus fertilizers (the middle number in fertilizer analysis) and promoting healthy blossoms. It is perfect for annuals and perennial in ground beds and all pots/hanging baskets. Use this fertilizer weekly when night temperatures are above 60 degrees.

This blend can be used on supertunia/calibrachoa plants in pots and hanging baskets but a better choice is our Extra Iron blend below.

Our #20 fertilizer is the standard for starting a new planting  in the ground or your self planted pots/hanging baskets. It has a higher phosphorus content to help plants get to a better start. We do suggest switching to our #21 fertilizer after about 4 weeks using our #20 bottle. Phosphorous does not leach from soils as fast as nitrogen or potassium so switching to the #21 is recommended.

If you use this blend in pots/hanging baskets all summer you may experience more “leggy” and soft growth where the center of the container may fall over in heavy rains or winds. So we do recommend switching over after about 4 weeks. Remember to fertilize only after night temperatures stay over 60 degrees.

Our “Extra Iron”fertilizer is perfect for Supertunias and Calibrachoa (Million Bells) in pots or hanging baskets containing a peat based soil. There are 2 types of soil generally used by homeowners, mineral soil (very heavy natural garden type soils) or peat based soils which are very light when dry. So use this fertilizer in peat based soils because iron supplementation is required to avoid interveinal chlorosis (yellow leaves and green veins)of these plants (pictured below). This is a common problem that is easily treated.

If you use a mineral based soil in your pots or hanging baskets (very heavy) or anything planted flower beds around your house you do not need this Extra Iron blend. Use our #20 bottle and switch to the #21 after about 4 weeks usage.
