Hanging Baskets Tomatoes! - K & S Greenhouse

“Tumbler” hanging basket tomatoes have been very popular over the past 6+ years for us. They produce well over 300 fruit that are 1.5″ in size all summer long with proper watering practices, You can expect to harvest tomatoes very early (mid june) since we sell these plants with blossoms already set.

“We grow all of our non-GMO vegetable/herb plants in a soil with MYCOACTIVE technology to stimulate vigorous growth for greater stress resistance, larger root system for increased nutrients, water uptake and bigger, healthier plants.  We use only OMRI listed fungicides/bug sprays on our vegetable plants as needed.”

The pictures above are from our patio in mid June. You may have to water these large plants in the morning and once more in the evening if temperatures are very warm. Place the pots in afternoon shade to help reduce those pressures. Fertilize weekly with a liquid fertilizer to keep the leaves green.

You may also plant the hanging baskets into a larger pot containing soil to help with the watering, just remove the retention saucer on the bottom of the hanging basket and set directly on the soil. Add more soil around the plastic pot to secure it. Roots will eventually tap into the soil underneath the new pot to help grow the plant.
